I love the design of the focal monstrous being that takes up the majority of the canvas: terrifyingly retro final boss material, very well drawn!

The lighting and shading for the rocks and the stony path textures on the bottom looks top. Like how minuscule the Knight is in comparison, and how you've included his shadow casting behind him. For some reason, I feel like the black representing some sort of 'bottomless pit' surrounding the beast could be filled in with some other things, perhaps cliff faces with darkened or less opaque colours to make it look as if they are distant and below the scene itself.

The art is fab overall.

Keep up your pixel-based creations to Newgrounds: they are positively epic, really interesting to look at. Personally, I reckon this would fit its purpose as a retro adventure game cover, or at least teaser artwork of that kind of genre, y'know?
