I'm impressed to the max. I should really pick up this game soon.
I admire the way you've achieved the underwater lighting effect with your shading, and it shows on the way you've drawn that monstrous head.
The glowing areas on the beast really help illuminate the piece, great work on them.
The blur effect for the bottom half of the beast and the underwater ruins is a neat little addition too, helps add motion and perspective.
I did indeed zoom in and pick out all the little details, and it was fun finding the warrior figure when I first found this.
This game kinda reminds me of 'Shadow of the Colossus', and I don't know why, but the sword that the protagonist is carrying reminds me of a weapon from 'Demon's Souls'. Nevertheless, you've nailed it again with your fanart. Please, do more! :D

to me monster hunter gives this freedom/adventurous/explorative feeling because of its great locations. and yes ur right it does feel like shadow of colossus (even though i didnt play it just watched) its perhaps shadow of colossus is about in an isolated ruins fighting behemoth size monster and knowing thier weakness so its preety much you and the monster nothing else.
while monster hunter they preety much share the same element things in common but more improve. again thnx for the great review. will be doing more monster hunter fan art :)
P.S get MH3 Ultimate but its bit pricey atm if you want something cheaper just buy the psp version of it
